The Torch of Life!
I came across this quote the other day and I thought it was quite direct and maybe very appropriate as we look toward the
Olympics in August. "This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty
one; the being a force of nature instead of being a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that
the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work,
the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no 'brief candle' to me. It is a sort
of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing
it on to future generations." George Bernard Shaw

Procrastination is the enemy of us all. Truly, half the battle
is just beginning! Pick one thing that you can do, today. Accomplish one task today that will give
you that satisfying feeling of one less thing waiting to be done. You will feel empowered to go on to the
next task.
Unwavering belief is a belief so strong that it stands up against
challenges. Sometimes other people, believing they are being helpful, will try to persuade us to be realistic, meaning
we shouldn't aim too high. Successful people keep their goals high and their expectations inline. Successful
people are practical dreamers, with dreams they figure out how to make come true.
M. Scott Peck said, "The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply
uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely
to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers."
